"I Will Take the Conquerer Ceasers Salad... Now!"

« on: 09 26, 2006, 02:25: PM »

I have been reading reports on a variety of Club boards, and have received a couple of E-mails from friends within the Klingon Kommunity, that John M. Ford has passed.

The only "Confirmation" I have seen online has been at wickipedia HERE , but the general consensus is that it is true.

John M. Ford is probably best known within Klindom for his authoring of 'The Final Reflection' and for his work on the FASA RPG Rules set from the 1980's... Both of the these works have had a profound influence on the early development of Klingon based Fan Clubs, and for those of us who have our Klingon roots in his work, I have little doubt that they will continue to be an important part of our Klingon way of life...

I only would that my words, however flawed in grammar do you justice sir...

Ford la'pIn'a' nger, batlh Daqawlu’taH!

and so a worthy and honourable Klingon passes.  The Black Fleet is enriched and we are the poorer.

*throwing back my head, I join Klythe in the howl.*

Yes indeed the Black Fleet is all the richer and the Klindom is all the poorer. This also has made me realize that there will be future generations of Klingon fans who will be from the Post Ford Era, a sobering thought which does nothing but make me feel old. I too join in this collective cyber howl.

That which does not kill me, must have missed me.

*forgoes the group howl for a more dignified solo mourning and reflection*

Does anyone know what sent the Thought Master to the Black Fleet? I remember reading that he had had a kidney transplant and ongoing problems with heart disease, but I cannot find anything more definite.
