That which does not kill me, must have missed me.

I realize that most of our regulars probably have more extensive computer skills than I, but Forum logs indicate that we have a significant Internet Explorer (IE) user base. The following comes verbatim in my ISP’s monthly newsletter:

“4. Heads Up! Internet Explorer Security Alert
Microsoft recently announced a serious problem with all current versions of its Internet Explorer browser. The flaw may allow Internet criminals to take control of your computer and gain access to financial information like passwords and bank account numbers.

“Security experts... have long recommended you use another browser, such as Firefox, rather than IE. If you currently use Internet Explorer, we recommend you download Firefox free....”

Help your computer help itself by considering a browser other than IE. Multiplatform suggestions include:
Firefox: http://www.mozilla.org/download.html or http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
Opera: http://www.opera.com/browser/download/?custom=yes
Safari: http://www.apple.com/safari/

All may be downloaded for free. If you have any trouble switching browsers, contact Klythe. He is more familiar with multiplatform applications than I am and volunteers his services on this one.

Richard the Sound Guy: "And the next person to lecture me about canon risks getting shot out of one! Right, gaffers?"
Gaffers make appreciative and supportive remarks in the form of bad imitations of primate calls from the direction of the lighting grids.
