I got it for the PC, surprise surprise, it didn't work.

Looks good though, may have to get the XBOX: 360 version.

That depends in what you want in a game.   If you are looking for something to kill a few hours and entertain, it will do that.   They game has a complete storyline that spans Enterprise, TOS, TNG and Voyager.  The XBox 360 version has various achievements that can be earned through the course of play.  This adds replay value as you will have to play the full game through at least three times to unlock all the achievements.  Even then, I've played through three times and still haven't gotten them all.   Though the achievements are only good for bragging rights, I myself have earned 720/1000 points (though I should have had more, not sure why I didn't get some of them).  If you wish you can and me(zanAspera) as your friend and see which achievements I have and have yet to earn.

There is one mission where you steal a Klingon ship and another where you fly it as your ship.

But back to the question, would I recommend it...  It's not the best game and does tend to be irritating at times as any game where you command more than one ship invariably involves the ship you are not commanding directly doing the wrong thing whenever they can.  Even then it's not the best ship combat simulator ever, but it is a basically fun game.  I wouldn't recommend this at full price if you are on a tight budget, but it's been out long enough that the price should have come down or there is always used copies.

I'll be honest with ya, I'm just gonna use skirmish mode and frig about with my favorite ships/eras.

That, and I know a guy with it and xbox live.

How much? £10, play.com dispatched within 24 hours.

I heard the XBox version was better and the PC but I don't know for sure. I would like to try both...
