Greetings my fellow Word Warriors...

As many of you know I am a member of the Clergy. My order however is also a distinct branch of the Military within my Home organization. (K.L.A.W. 4th Fleet).

I have been working on a simple idea which relates to other military unit identification protocols. Specifically, a unit "Challenge" (Greeting) and "Response".

To give an example, think of two Clerics meeting (Not necessarily for the first time), they recognize that they both belong to the same order. One (Possibly the senior most Cleric), recites the "Challenge", the second priest replies with the appropriate response.

Another example being when a group of Clerics congregate for some particular event. The senior most Cleric, (Or perhaps the person who will be leading the group), initiates the congregation formally by issuing the challenge. Those in attendance would then recite the "Response" back to them.

The Challenge is: "Our lord Kahless the first".

My likely flawed translation is: joHma' QeylIS wa'DIch

The Response is: I will continue to serve with honor.

My likely flawed translation is: jItoy'taH batlh
