While discussing Dahar Mastery I came upon a question of Hol.

tlhIngan Hol is a verb-centered language (sentences start with a verb, objects and subjects are build around it (right?)).
Is there any example/evidence of two verbs being combines to become a third?

It was indicated that Da (behave as) and Har (believe) had been combined into DaHar.
Although there is as far as I know no Paraborg canon about the definition of a Dahar master, one could make DaHar into something Okrandian...

But can you do it with the two verbs mentioned above?

The way I understand it there are no (known) rules that allow you to make compound words of any parts of speech.  I have been told that I cannot ever combine two words into one unless the compound word is specifically listed in the dictionary as a single word.

Da Har Master is possible as a two verb phrase (one acting as an adverb, I believe), but as far as I understand, DaHar can only be interpreted as Har with the Da- pronominal prefix, or as a full word unto itself.  To my knowledge there is no suffix -ar or -Har.

This is kinda like the English equvallent of "I scream/ice cream", isn't it?

I guess it is...  Smiley
The thing is, I'd like to know whether this has been discussed (the verb/verb construct, I do know about the noun/noun construct) on any of the KLI lists... I guess I'll have to figure out how to work their archives...

No. Any apparent evidence that it might have happened is still not evidence that it is permitted in "modern" Klingon.
