This isn't really new, as a matter of fact it is about 5 years old. I stumbled across this article while doing some other Klingon research, and thought it was interesting. It has a lot to say about fandom and culture, and sadly about Worf's over all coolness, but still a pretty good read.

Pretty good article I thought.  Nails the subject right on the head and is true today as it was then.

I think it is kind of nice to see a non fan write this kind of article and not go for the "geek angle" like Trekies did.

I Enjoyed that Article... Thanks For Posting the Link...

I Find the fact that the Author was Not Particularly trying to Either Bolster or Find Fault with Klindom, or it's Community quite refreshing... In Fact the lack of a Real "Point" to the Article beyond trying to find a Klingon Translation to an arbitary Sentance, was initself kind of Kewl... Sort of a Mini Voyage of Discovery for this Guy that he Decided to Share in his Column... Decidedly unpretentious...

Oddly enough the search I was doing showed me only the first part of the sentence, Can I borrow your towell, which I mistook for a Hitchhiker's Guide reference. I read on from there. Every time I find something accidentally cool on the web, I am reminded of those burning sheep from Seinfeld.

Not Familiar with the Burning Sheep Referrence... Though I have Quite Enjoyed Reading (And Occasionally Re-reading) HG over the Years...
