I would love to meet fellow Trekkie's in my new home area. Though I seem to not be finding any local club or groups. So my reason of starting this topic is basically So I and others looking for brethren can do so.

My question is does anyone know of any trek related groups in Oregon or pacific area, on line or in person. Doesn't need to be kept to Klingon, any will do. I just moved out here and allways look for Trekkie's first.

If none are found then I will form one (plan on it anyway in the future).

I hope we all can pull together our resources and find some.

If this isn't a legit topic let me know. I just need a new source for meeting others

That which does not kill me, must have missed me.

Do not limit yourself to Brethren, Kaos, or discount your “sistren”. You never know who may have the information you want. }}: P

Can you be more specific about your location?
Due to the population layout of Oregon I suspect that anything you are likely to find will be in the Portland or Eugene areas.

Try starting with the Portland-based IKV Raptor. If the Raptor is inactive and you look to start a group from scratch, a good place to start is http://meetup.com. There you can search for general Star Trek (http://startrek.meetup.com) and Klingon-specific groups (http://klingon.meetup.com) by zip code and distance from where you live.

Let us know if any of these produce results!

Gaffers make appreciative and supportive remarks in the form of bad imitations of primate calls from the direction of the lighting grids.

I'm sure K'aos didn't mean any disrespect to the "sistren."  His rally cry was for all Klingons.

it is true

I am a seach to find any fellow trekkies. Locally to gather and all be geeky. I miss the group of trekkies I banded with in Atlanta.

Though I am more fond of Klingons

Many, many years ago (more than ten I think...time slips away, lol) there was a group in Grants Pass. They may still be operating.

I hope you find a group to your liking. And if you can't find any face to face meetups, I think this is a wonderful place to meet others of a like mind.  Smiley
