I am looking for instructions for building wooden disruptors. Any thoughts?

Hi, I just joined this forum, so ignore this if you already have started building.
Check out this prop site:

It is for a TOS phaser, but the same general work applies.  You can buy great quality cut-offs and/or shelving-sized hardwoods (especially oak and poplar) at your local hardware. Furthermore, you should seek out solid aluminium rods or cut off lengths from stainless steel tongs or other kitchenware for the "three metal rod middle section". You could also ask a local hobby store about wood sealer (used for model rockets) or some other coater to conceal the wood grain. To glue together, I consider two-part epoxy sacred. Obviously, you might have googled images of disruptors and/or kits and seen what segments they come in.  Please let me know how your work goes as I will be making mine from wood after I finish my uniform.  Qapla'!
