New klingon forum based RPG, "Empire of Warriors"

Announcement 

the german forum based RPG "Kriegerimperium", will launch this summer a english version of itself, namely "Empire of warriors".

the game will be a klingon space station with a few vessels belonging to it.

The launching date depends on when we finish the translation of the current site and board.
Game time is sometimes after Voyager so post 2376

okay still needs alot of work, so if somebody wants to go over the material already there, feedback is always welcome.

Unfortunatelly this project won't happen now, as i won't work for this board anymore due to personal differences.

but i found this here a still very active Sim, but i still think a slight different version is an good idea. see end of post..

Klach D'kel Brakt Space station and IKS meH'Haj are 2 very active Bravofleet simms  that can be found at KDB Forums .

We have over 40 members with more they 5 years of continuous simming expirience. We hope to see you among our members.   There are currentl several other ships available for command from b'rels to negh'vars so if you are interested in commanding one let me know.

The problem is to find a host, and as there already was a discussion here on the board about it i thought of you all here. what do you think  (all of you in general and the owner/admin especially  )



so. the idea is a forum based rpg, similar to the above quoted, only that the structur is different.

it would be instead of topics/missions, static rooms, like sickbay, security, bar.

i will demonstrate that on the security part.

that system works actually pretty good in the german version for 3 years now. if a subtopic like main office gets too much threads, the topic is closed and a new one is opened, like main office II.

if there is some rare event, a new room can be opened, like a "meeting during first contact" (or so) which can be closed afterwards or lay dorment till another first contact occurs.


at the moment there are the following topics ingame in the german version, which I would say are essential for a good play:

and the off game topics which are here as well.  We only have non-canon chars, as we never actually mention any time, also we are playing post yovager/dominion war.

    I've done forum RP in the past and have found it very fun and challenging.   The only reason we don't have one here is that when there was interest, I didn't have time to invest to get it going...   Hmmm...  I have more time now...

    The way we were going to do it was more simple, we would just created a new thread for each story arc.

I find that form a bit more complicated, as there is no timeline and the parallel playing of more than one mission makes it more confusing to read. there is already a good forum rpg, based on this (see quote in last post)

This idea is about a station, which has next to the missions day-to-day life as well, so why not try it a bit different???

I thought I was being plenty different in the timeline I chose for my roleplay. 

     Anyway, there is no reason we can't try both ways, the current timeline can be set up with sub-forums and threads for locations on a station.   Since the Ancient RP will basically cover the whole empire at that time, people may need to move around more so it can be set up with threads for story arcs.  Of course people can play in both RPs if they have time.

    It will probably take a while before either RP can attract the number of players it would take to fill out such a large structure.   For the time being we should just create threads with the location name at the beginning.  That way when we start getting more threads we can easily move them to the right subboards.  If this is successful, I'm sure we can raise the Sim forums to the top level instead of where they are.  but we have to get people playing first.

Well, I will join in.  I havent done simms before but it should be interesting.  I will look forward to giving it a go.  I just need to figure out a new character bio as Kehlan is not really appropriate for an ancient role play.

unfortunatelly due to several hacker attacks and no way to get the software secure, the project is on ice again.
some day hopefully soon it will reopen as a browsergame/forum based RPG, will need to sort things out first.
