Question- Anybody want to play?
I would like an opponent. This is the so-called simming section, so let us simulate a Klin Zha match.
I have not played the warriors game before. I am familiar with the rules.

Klin Zha Sim
I was just over at Kordite's "Authorized Klin Zha Homepage". There's a list there of people looking to play by email, as well as free software you can download to facilitate playing by IRC, ICQ or the Tcl program. Unfortunately I think it's all in PC/Windows only, so if you're on a Mac you're SOL (and I'm not talkin' "Satellite of Love"
). Also, it looks like qurgh wants to play; maybe you could download the IRC stuff and practice together in realtime. Zap him and see.

I believe the TCL version will run on any platform that supports the tk/tcl toolkit. I think that toolkit runs on Linux, Windows, Mac and a bunch of other OSs.
So you can play Klin Zha on any computer.

klin zha and its relationship with terran chess
It is similar. The objective of it is to capture the goal and to do so you need to manuver you peices to protect your own peices and kill your opponents. In terran chess you set up you peices and eventually one of the players checkmates the other's king. Klin Zha, you simply kill it. the strategy tho, is basically the same as chess is a "war" game if u will and so is klin zha. Klin Zha is more like your on the battlefield (as you know ...klingons love to fight) and you kill you opponent. I know how to play Klin Zha but i have no one to play with...People have talked to me about dowloading and some other comp talk but i SUCK with comps and i dont no wat im doin...
i hope some of it was relevant to your question as i forgot wat it originally was
Have fun with it when you learn to play though

I'd actually rather play Klin Zha via email or snail mail, much like terran chess is played occaisionally. if you're interested, U2U me, or email me.

"I know how to play Klin Zha but i have no one to play with..."
Same here! This seems to be EPIDEMIC on this thread.
I'll say this again:
I want to play.
This phrase is available in other languages, upon request.
U2U me, E-mail me directly, e-mail me from my site, sign my guestbook, and include your e-mail. If you live in the Florida area, I can go to your house, if that's what's required.

"People have talked to me about dowloading and some other comp talk but i SUCK with comps and i dont no wat im doin..."
I suck with comps, too. (I've had mine for less than 18 mos.)
If you WANT to get things like a program to make things easier to do, I will happily help you. I was a TOTAL newbie not too long ago, and I don't feel ANYONE can ask me a stupid question.
(I am the only one who ever asks stupid questions. You don't ever have to ask one, because I've already done it for you. So fire away.)
But those programs are NOT NECESSARY. They are there only to make things easier.
Get in touch, and let's play!

Ah, a warrior after my own heart! I often play board games and table top miniature games like you described. Really set up a game, then IM or email opponents and watch it play out.
It takes a long time, but there is something satisfying about seeing the peices on the table, picking them up and moving them in your own hand that makes playing a "baord game" on the computer just pale in comparison.
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
Off topic (REALLY off topic!), if anybody plays Star Wars miniatures and wants to play an email game (no puter sims), drop me a line.
