lets say i wanted to say, I am studying the Klingon language.

would it be;  tlhingan Hol jIHaD? or tlhingan Hol vIHaD? this just seems to keep throwing me off, im sorry if it sounds like a dumb question, but it would help me a lot.

Another sentance that im having trouble with

you hide by the body

is it; porghDaq bISo'  ?

one last thing, what is the verb prefix for he/she/it as subject with no object?

thank you for your help

    Both will be understood, there is no ambiguiity.  But I believe vIHaD is the perferred form   I'll have to investigate further to be sure...

That all depends.  You seem to be having trouble with the sentance in English.   Without punctuation it is hard to know if you mean:

Imperative--      You!  Hide by the body.
Question--        So...   You by hide the body?
Observation--    You by hide the body...  Very good.

    This is expressed by the absence of a prefix.   For example "Qong." means They sleep.

Happy to share what I know...   Which admittedly isn't nearly as much as I ought to...

Very close!  There isn't a Klingon word for "by", so we have to be more specific.

{lom retlhDaq bISo''egh}

{lom} 'corpse'  (because {porgh} just means 'body', and I'm guessing you mean a non-living body.
{retlh} 'area alongside'
{-Daq} 'at'
{bI-} 'you-no object'
{So'} 'to hide something'
{-'egh} 'onself'

So, literally: "you hide yourself at the area beside the corpse"

If you want to hide behind the corpse, change the beginning to {lom 'emDaq} ({'em} 'area behind').

If you want to hide someplace else that's near the body, you need two sentences:
{nagh 'emDaq bISo''egh. Sum lom.}

{nagh} 'rock'
{Sum} 'near'

"You hide behind the rock.  The corpse is nearby."

If all these are commands to order someone to hide, change {bI-} to {yI-}.
