I would like to know how long do you consider a story a "short story"? I got a story, which is a bit longer, than what I have read here.

We have no guidelines for story length; to my knowledge the question has never come up. In defining works by length I usually use kat’s definitions, which hold that a short story is one up to 10,000 words long.

Forum software settings currently allow for a maximum of 20,000 characters per post. If your story exceeds this, try posting it a chapter at a time. Make sure you post them all to the same thread so that there will be as little disruption of your story as possible.
