I am Lt. Cmdr Kael vestai Kurkura. I join the ranks of K.A.G. in '91 when I was recruited by the ill-fated I.K.V. Thunderstrike of Atlanta during the K.A.G. / K.L.A.W. War. I created the I.K.V. Havoc in Knoxville, Tn which last for 3 years til it was sabotaged by Federation dogs. In '96, I met Neil Fuller (Capt.[?]Ky'Ral sutai Kurkura) and he convinced me to become his assistant in the Imperial Contacts Branch ('96-'98) . He convinced the Thought- Admiral into adopting me and promoting me to LT.CMDR. I served breifly as weapons officer of the I.K.V. Feck' Lar's Fury (Atlanta, Ga) during this time. I returned briefly to K.A.G. in '02 as political officer of the I.K.V. Last Stand (Glasgow,Ky). Now I'm back looking for some old foes and old allies once again as well as some new ones.

Can anyone tell me where I might find my old friend Ky'ral?

[Corrected typo in thread title- Klythe]

Welcome, zan Kael. You have a long and impressive history in Klindom! I would hear more about your campaigns in the KAG/KLAW rivalry, and of the clash's role in the Wars of Internal Dissention. Did the outcome result in your coming to the Forums?

I have never heard of Ky'ral, though I have not been in the Corps long, and the Empire is a vast one...  Has Ky'ral ever answered to another name in Fandom?

Lord Admiral KyRal zantai-DrakenRal, Vice Chancellor is his title now(as of 2003 at least) I haven't seen him since early '01 and I have searched the internet for info which lead me to late '03 and he is the "vice chancellor" of something called the Imperial Klingon Forces.

My 'involvement' in the KAG / KLAW  WAR was a small one. I was poisoned by a member of KLAW just because I knew the captain of the I.K.V. Thunderstrike. He had helped my ship get started. At a Fantasy Fair I was paying my respects to him when I was marked. It was my first outting as a Klingon officer and a costly lesson on politics and trust. So my assassination was suppossed to be a lesson, but it didn't go the way they expected. Revenge in the end was mine, though it took me 6 years to track all the scum down.

I am freelance now. A privateer of sorts. Always looking for an honest fight with men (& women) of honor and drink to our victories and give praise to our enemies that have fought bravely and with honor. I am a warrior, politics belong to the weak and feable, by some twisted sense of irony I most often have to protect.

It is both good and bad to know that others survived "FAN WARS". Would that we could take in new members wthout poisioning them against other Klingons first. Then we would truely be a mighty force.

I Have Long Grieved over the KLAW/KAG insanity... When Brothers And Sisters Fight Needlessly it Weakens The Empire and Makes us ALL Less... I Was Fortunate to Come into K.L.A.W. 4th Fleet (A Distinct Entity From KLAW), After the Main Split Between the Groups but Was Weaned on and Into my Klindom on Derisive Propaganda, I Have Fought Long and Hard Since to Recognize the Difference Between Legitimate Political Differences and Fan Club In-Fighting...

As To The Politics, Well... That is What it is, and The Main Reason Why I Support the Idea of Independant Fan Clubs that Cater to the Different Needs and Preferences of their Memberships...

As to the Second Issue (In-Fighting), It Really Sucks when the "Newbies" Fall Victim to the Ego Battles of Established Leaderships... It Taints the Fan Experience, and Rarely Serves as Trully Instructive about the Facts of What may have Started the "Old" Issues in the First Place...

So KAEL, though this Welcome Comes Some Nearly Two Months After the Original Posting, As I Have Just Now Discovered it, I Extend My Greetings From The Library in the Name of Klindom rather than From any Particular Affiliations... And Though You are Wise to Be Wary of Your Previous Enemies, I Would Extend the Assertion that Should You Be "Poisoned" in the Future it will not be From my Cup Nor From My Table... I Do Not Yet Know You So I Have No Idea as to rather we Might be Enemies or Friends, but There is No Honor in Killing a Foe Without Being Seen So it Would Not be By Poison... It Would However be My Preference that Since we we Both Serve the Empire With Honor that-that need Never Be Tested... Welcome...

I will drink with you!  I did not have the free time or money to participate in organized fandom during the fan wars, but I whole heartedly agree with the sentiment.

Well said. Though it has taken me THREE YEARS to respond, I accept your toast. May you die well with your name on your dying enemies tongue! Alas, I have not found my old friend. Methinks I shall never see or hear from him again.

Well now! Onward with life! To conquer! And to drink! And sing the tales of heroics and deeds considered most honorable! What do you have going on in the frontiers of Western Washington? HHMMMMM.....
