The Picture of the New Moon Pin That I Comissioned those Good Folks to Craft for the Library... The Two Images Side By Side are (On the Left) the Original Art Work I Made For the Chapter Logo, while the Image on the Right is the Picture the Folks at NMP sent out to me... (So Parden the Flash, was not my Fault Man)... Anyway, I have Since Gotten to Hold the Actual Pin in my Grubby Little Targ Beaters and it is Pretty Nice... Especially For the Great Price I was Offered to Generate an Original Piece of Art with them...

Kesvirit,

Thanks For Posting this... And I Have to Say that although New Moons Work is Definately Resin Looking (Like Most Klingon Pins Out there)... It is Fairly well Painted and I Will Order More From them in the Future...

Also these Folks are Particularly Fond of Klingon Business, So If You are Honorable they will Treat You Very Well...

I have found that the resin cast pins hold up quite well if treated with a minimum of care. When I was playing the role of a 100+ year old Klignon My cloak had many resin cast pins on it. I still have the cloak. I am working on a new cloak design that will feature more embroidered patches than it does resin casts but that is to make it easier and lighter to travel with.

By the way, cool design for the Library pin.

As Far as Embroidered Patches Go, I Had Thought About that But I Have Not Really Found a Place to Make them For Reasonable Prices...

Thanks on the Design Compliment... It is Fairly Simple, but it is Amazing Just How Long it took me to Come up with it...<Smirk>...

From what I have found the only way to make embroidered patches affordible is to order them by the hundred, but that brings the total price up too. Most of the patches I have bought in preparation for this project have been at conventions and from eBay. I am sure some ofthem are house or club specific, but some have no lettering so it is hard to tell what they were originally for.

There used to be someone who was doing great fine detail Klingon resin casts. I bought thier stuff from a couple of dealers but never knew who the manufacturer was. I think they got caught in teh Paraborg traps of a few years ago, because I haven't seen those pieces for a number of years. I do know a dealer who will have cast metal pieces made out of any resin cast I give him, but my original will not survive. He will replace it, but then my full color piece becomes a solid silver piece. The metal he uses is very shinny and hard to paint.

Yes they do. And, as stated previously, they really like working with Klingon fans and groups. Well worth a look for inexpensive pins.

maj! {Good}...

Thanks for the update. A pity, they do great work. Do you know if this is a permanent or temporary situation? I would hate to think of their going out of business. 'Twould be a loss to fandoms far and wide. <stereotypical Klingon attitude> *snort* As if other fandoms matter. Where will KLINGONS get their badges of honor made? </attitude>
