How the end of
anything
called "Enterprise" be a bad thing for the Empire?
If anything, I think the lack of vidiotainment will be a boon to the Hol. Those who are interested in things Klingon and/or linguistic will continue to pursue it, while the faddish fans and hangers on will move on to the next overly hyped live-action comic strip. Think of it as a stripping of the dead wood that strains the credibility of the Hol and lets the heartwood shine.
Further, it is well-established as one of the better known and better developed conlangs, on par with
Esperanto
and
Logjam
. As long as there are linguists and programmers among us, the Hol will be too.

It Has Never Been An Issue as to Rather Rabid Linguists and Programmers Would Continue to Do What they are Already Doing, But Rather My Point Was I Suppose Questioning Rather New Blood is as Likely Arrive on a Scene, Which As The Shows De-popularize, Has Become More Specialized... Nature Shows us that Specialized Creatures are Not Always the Most Likely To Survive...<Chuckle>...

dont forget linguists, conworlders, etc.
Klingons are charismatic folk, especially for those sick of artsy farsty elves and their pitiful soft noises.
I learned about Hol through conlang circles (its hard to miss!) and it was a breath of fresh air indeed.

We have
evidence
on these here forums that new people are still being exposed to the language with an interest in becomming fluent. So I don't see a point about worrying about any lack of new blood. The less noise, the easier it is for the more motivated Klingons and conlganers to get together and dig into the language, find it's weaknesses and raise those issues to the KLI where they can be addressed, discussed and resolved.
One person who is dedicated to doing thier own original Klingon writings or translation of serious literature, seeking help when they have studied all they have and are still stuck, does far more to keep the language active and
'alive'
than 10,000 snickering young fans who see it as a language to translate insults so they can cowardly 'insult' people without actually insulting them. An insult has to be understood to be effective after all...

Well I Think that I was Fairly Clear in that Those VERY few actual Klingon Linquists out there will Continue to do their Thing... But My Understanding was that the Original Question was about rather there would be any Reason For Further Canon Development?

Why do you believe a thing when you can know a thing instead? The original question was your own.

I showed you an example of a one who is just starting to learn the language, just now. Enterprise has been over for six months and still there is new blood. The language will survive. Fewer people perhaps, yes, but it is not the end. New people still continue to take interest, and some who had interest that waned because of the crap that was
perI'man'It Hol
may renew their interest. Even if f Okrand is the sole source of canon, there will still be new canon, as in the past he has offered as a reward for certain KIF challenges the chance to be a "friend of Maltz". This gives the contest winner the chance to use their friendship with Maltz, just once, to ask Maltz a question about the language. Maltz typically responds with a full page or maybe two, of discussion on the topic, and includes a few to as much as a dozen or more new canonical vocabulary.
