nuqneH! i am k'mtal, an old member of the forums. but unfortuantly, i arrived less than a month before kidc shut down.

why did it shut down? to switch to the Power Invision Boards?

The KIDC is the organization that sponsors the Forums; it never shut down.  The Forums and their database were lost in a series of monumental and uncorrected mistakes by the (former and dishonorable }}>:-E~~~) upstream provider.  When Lady K'Zin went searching for a new Forum system, she preferred this one over the old one.

Who will be the next poster to make themselves known?
