I think I got this one right, it's been a while since I've done any real translation work. I am trying to translate " Frying Pan" the concept is similar to a cast iron skillet, but I know I can't get an exact match. What I have so far is this:

mIQwI'bargh

Which should be a flat bottomed pot which deep fries.

The second part of this translation I am looking for is how to say that the frying pan in question is cursed. I do not want to use this if it will end up being one long word, simply because it will be cumbersom to say. As far as I can tell this should be:

'IghmIQwI'bargh

in this case I will leave the 'Igh off and just go with frying pan. Oddly enough due to a strange bit of role playing, the final phrase will be the new name of a ship / club.

Not exactly. "A flat-bottomed pan which deep-fries" would be {mIQbogh bargh}, but this gives a visual of a roasting pan working at KFC. }}: )

I will suggest {mIQmeH bargh} "Flat-bottomed pan for deep-frying"

{mIQwI' bargh} Means "The flat-bottomed pan that belongs to the person/thing that deep-fries."

The word(s) above mean "The deep-fryer's flat-bottomed pan is cursed." It is a statement.

If you want to say "The cursed frying pan", in the sense of "the unlucky frying pan", put the {'Igh} after the noun:

{mIQmeH bargh 'Igh} "The cursed flat-bottomed pan for deep-frying"

Hope this helps. And good luck with your ship. }}; )

thank you for the help, the reason I had originally wnet with mIQwI' is because -wI' is listed in the dictionary as also being "thing which does" not just "person who does". which led me to translate mIQwI' as the thing which deep fries, and thus mIQwI'bargh as the flat bottom pot which deep fries.

On the ship in question the Captain is also the Cook, having been the last survivng officer after a battle. That makes the concept of possesion of the pan almost as relevant as the function of the pan. The Frying pan is literally the cook's pan as well.
