<button> to navigate, press it.

What parts of the sentence do you have?

You need to use -meH (for the purpose of)

Duj DachIjmeH Deghmey yI'uy
Press the symbols in order to navigate the ship

Hope that helps

You do indeed need a {-meH} clause. And we know from the Klingon CD that the "oblique {-meH}'s" are OK, as in {ghojmeH taj} "Learning knife".

So I think just {chIjmeH} "For navigation" is sufficient here.
As for "click the symbols", I would recommend the verb {lo'} "to use", as we don't really have too much info regarding computer terminology.

So, try
{chIjmeH, Degh tIlo'} "For navigation, use the symbols."

(Do not forget that with a plural object, {yI-} becomes {tI-}.)

Short and sweet.

I'll shutup now }}: )

HIvqa' veqlargh! bIlughchu' Smiley "tI-" vIlo'nIS!

I thought about doing the headless -meH, but I wanted to try and keep it simple Smiley

As for lo'/'uy we always see them pressing down on symbols to make the ship work so I went with that. I was thinking:

De'wI' wIlo'taHvIS Deghmey wI'uy

but you right,  we don't know.

I was thinking that the {Deghmey} would be on a computer screen, in which case we don't know if a Klingon would {'uy} "press down on", {gho'} "step on", or simply {chu'} "activate" it.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to find that a Klingon would  {qIp} "hit" or {DuQ} "stab" a web page button.

I suggested {lo'} only to avoid having to change it in the event that new vocabulary is brought to light.

To be honest, I hadn't considered the possibility that the translation might have been for an RL sign, or the like. I was so stuck on the idea that this was for a web page or some other computery thing that I was blinded to other possibilities. I see now the error of that assumption.

If the navigation spoken of is accomplished by a RL "pressing down", in the same sense that I am pressing down on the keys of my keyboard, then I must accept qab's suggestion (using {'uy}) as completely valid, and in fact more precise, than my own.
