I am qa'pIn k'meQ of former Tova'Daq fame (ahem) and currently on a permanent away mission in England for the Qebmey tai joH, a ship that is part of Khemorex Klinzhai.

I do not keep track of how long I have been a fan of everything Klin, but I know for a fact I've at least been keen on it for 6 earth years.

I've re-joined the Forums and will try to take up the study of tlhIngan Hol as one of my many activities.

Does this mean that the Tova'Daq has disbanded?

Unfortunately I do not remember your name from the Forums' earlier incarnation.

Speaking of which... Does your name actually translate as "One who is able to eat while at a negative angle", as in upside down, or have I made a mistake? If the former, will the one honor us with a demonstration?

Regardless, I believe you are the sole representative of Khemorex Klinzhai to date. Welcome to the Forums!

Gaffers make appreciative and supportive remarks in the form of bad imitations of primate calls from the direction of the lighting grids.

Forgive me for head-butting into a conversation which does not involve me, but this is one reason, honoured Kesvirit {I do not remember the klingonaase for honoured, and before my qavIn' I cannot be bothered looking it up}, why I always without fail read your new posts. Because they almost invariably make me laugh. You truly have the spirit of the Klin, and I salute you!

Sadly enough, Tova'Daq has disbanded over a year ago now. Our former fearless leader singlehandedly disbanded the troupe and put a ban on Tova'Daq as well.

As it stands I am trying to at least know  every Dutch Klingon, and am the sole remotely active Klingon remaining (although I am not too sure about aforementioned leader)

I am not sure I have actually contributed at the time. I would have been known as qa'pIn, my proper Klingon persona's name.

However, since I am known for it, I've changed my forum name to SoplaHtaHwI'.

For the invention of this nomer I have taken TKD to hand, and found

Quote
Sop - eat (v); -laH - 5 - can able; -taH - 7 - continouos; -wI' - 9 - one who is, one who does, thing which does;

Be that at a positive angle, at a right angle or at a negative angle: jISoplaH; bIrlaH rura' pente'Daq rur <I can eat as it can be cold on Rura Penthe >

This comparison (or simile) might read strange, but that's probably because  neither Klingon or English is my first language...

And on a closing note:

That is probably because KK has it's own forum (if not, they should have) in German.

I do maintain a Dutch mailinglist on Yahoo, where I've only yesterday plugged the forums. Maybe we'll see some of the Dutch Klingons yet.

Since when does a Klingon ask for forgiveness for butting heads?

Think Nike!

Thinking like a Klingon is not easy.  It takes a lot  of practice to do it well.  Kapact and others will continue to learn.  For now it is best to air on the side of too Human than too Klingon, given the diplomatic nature of the KDIC which is so kind to host these forums.

It is good to act like a Klingon, but I have especially in the past have caused much trouble expecting others to do the same.  I would advise you not to repeat my mistakes.

I was trying to show respect as I butted into a conversation that didn't involve me. I think that honour and respect is very Klingon...........

Ah. My mistake.  I was using the wrong sense of {taH}: (v.) be at a negative angle. It makes so much more sense in the context of your similie...
