nuqneH,

I am a new member of this board and wanted to drop a line.

A new Klingon ship is being formed in Western Massachusetts, the IKV Astris.  I am currently recruiting and am looking forward to hearing from anyone interested in joining in the fun.

I became a Klingon fan after watching the TNG episode "Defector".  The Klingons saved the day with three birds of prey and saved the Enterprise by their mere presence.  That act stopped a Federation/Romulan war.

Unfortunately that is as far from my current posting as one can get without a signifigant swim. I am sure that this newly commissioned ship will be an asset to the fleet. Is the IKV Astris aligned with another organization such as the IKBF or KAI? Or is it a perhaps a privateer vessel, or one owned by a particular House?

That was indeed an excellent episode, and stands out as a high point of TNG. *laughs* And the one describes it with such enthusiastic  Klingon spin. }};-) If you would like to discuss it or another further, I suggest you visit the Inspirational Media Room (aka Klingon-related Books, TV & Movies). It has seen so little of the use for which it was created...

Gaffers make appreciative and supportive remarks in the form of bad imitations of primate calls from the direction of the lighting grids.

What sort of things does your crew do on your ship?   And what sort of people are you looking for.  The more information you provide the more likely you'll be able to find someone interested in joining.  That's what I've found to be the case anyway...

Amazing that three tiny Klingon frigates will deter a Romulan attack when a federation super cruiser, nearly as large as the Rom's ship does not...   Cheesy Klingon Grin
