Greetings.

Stephen Hawking's TEDTalk has been translated into Klingon, but we need a reviewer to check the translation before we publish the subtitles on TED.com.

http://www.ted.com/talks/lang/eng/stephen_hawking_asks_big_questions_about_the_universe.html

If you're interested in helping, please email us at subtitles@ted.com.

Thank you.

To see the video with the current Klingon subs, go here and select "Klingon [100%]" from the drop-down menu: http://dotsub.com/view/b27cafe0-10b1-4160-8f56-59f630033228

Here's a full Klingon transcript: http://dotsub.com/view/b27cafe0-10b1-4160-8f56-59f630033228/viewTranscript/tlh

I'd be happy to review it, but I'm not eligible to do so since I'm the translator Wink

The Universe is bigger than anything....

Great work, tesseraktik!

By the way, isn't the Trek world "limited" to our Galaxy?

Thank you Smiley

Not entirely sure what you mean. It's true a vast majority of Trek episodes haven't dealt with Milky Way issues (mostly because that's where humanity is), but they have had some interaction with people who originated in the Andromeda Galaxy, and there have been brief excursions outside the galaxy (such as when they broke through the galactic barrier, or when the Enterprise-D ended up in the Triangulum Galaxy, but also the Continuum, fluidic space and alternate universes (and until the-episode-which-must-not-be-named was declared non-canonical, Tom Paris had apparently been "everywhere").

The world of Trek isn't limited to the Milky Way; intergalactic travel is just very difficult in the 24th century Smiley
