Ok I remember once reading in one of the Star Trek books a poem having to do with revenge that was Klingon.

I'm trying to find it again.  Most of what I remember is that it speaks of the protagonist leaving his home, his wife and his child to follow his enemy and his musing on the fact that he is in essence more loyal and devoted to his enemy than to the one's he professes to love.

Sound familiar to anyone?  I suspect the book I'm talking about is probably over 20 years old...

As I said, a shot in the dark.
