Serious health update on Kolar (Earl Jones)

To all my father's friends,

Hello all. I am Edward Jones. I'm the son of Earl Jones who some of you know as Kolar epitai-Resmehliar, Captain of the IKV Harbinger (KAG, BLA), K'Lar (Various Star Trek RP's), or that plain old hillbilly from the hills of KY who lives in Ohio, Earl Jones.

It is my deeply unpleasant task to inform those of you who do not know of his condition and to update those of you who do know about what has happened. My father has been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. The update is that they have upgraded it to terminal. They are expecting him to be dead within 8-12 months. The chemotherapy and radiation treatment he is going through now is to possibly prolong his time. For those of you who love him as much as I do, I am sure you are trying right now to not break down in tears, or maybe you are crying your eyes out.

I ask of you all to please send your support and what not, to my father through me. He barely has the strength on most days to get up from the bed and he's growing worse. If you'd like to send cards or other, I am posting our address to the bottom of this e-mail along with my contact info and his home number.

I will not lie to you all, this is the hardest thing I've ever had to go through in my life. Watching a man who I loved and feared through my entire childhood be so weak and wither away slowly and painfully. Thus is why I believed that you all had to know.
