Greetings folks--been lurking for some time.  Had an account that I used to make one post some months ago but decided to come back with a username I've had at the Klingon Music Guild yahoo group for some years.

I'm a musician who's decided to start building up a set of Klingon tunes since there seem to be so few of us out there doing this.  Hope to get lots of input and advice from you all!

Very good idea. I posted a Venom & a Sabbath tune I thought might be appropriate somehwere else here. Tribal drums is my suggestion.

Here's another Venom tune with tribal-ish drums.

Captain Krankor, the head grammarian for the Klingon Language Institute has written a number of Klingon songs. You can see a group of us at this years qep'a' singing his most famous piece, taHjaj wo' (May the Empire endure) on youtube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnvAGY1t9es. The first couple of seconds of the song are missing though Sad This song is about 16-20 years old. It was orginally written for the first Klingon Language Camp in Red Lake Falls MN.

You can get the lyrics to taHjaj wo', as well as some of Krankor's other songs and some songs from other composers, at http://klingonska.org/songs/

Great idea! I only know the Klingon fondness of Opera (which I don't share, to be honest). Personally I always envision the strong voiced Russian choirs to be very Klingonesque. Brave songs for the Motherland-kinda thing Wink

Hey There,

There is a whole slew of songs, mostly set to existing Human melodies here: http://www.quva.de/Liedersammlung/main.html
The site is in German. The songs are a combination of German, English and Klingon.
