Greetings to everyone in this unique forum!
My name is Kragtowl zantai-Trekkan, Da'Har Master and Epetai of House Trekkan
My real name is William "Bear" Reed and I have been involved in Klingon fandom for a very long time. I am re-establishing my exsistence back in this electronic format and look forward to discussing any and all things Klingon!

Be welcome at our Forums, KragtowI’! Your name is well known in Klindom, though I have not heard it much as of late. Good to see that you are re-establishing your presence in electronic Klindom if not in meatspace. I remeber your website well; it was one of many casualties of the Yahoo/GeoCities planet killer.
If you did not have it backed up at the time of its disappearance, I may have some at least fair news: I have discovered some of its remains using The Wayback Machine. They are located at
http://web.archive.org/web/20040830234400/http://www.geocities.com/kragtowl/
. Unfortunately the depth of the remaining html layers are irregular at best, and most of the graphics are gone. I hope you will consider resurrecting the site.
I also ask if you will consider resurrecting the
Klingon HomeWorld organization
, if enough Klinfolk can be found to rebuild it. Unfortunately Klindom appears to be khesterex, with most organizations dying, dead, or dormant. Seeing as how our numbers are dropping and Klingons do not play well together, everyone seems to be working on their own individual projects. You were a prominent member of Klindom, and I suspect could yet be again if you care to formulate a challenge for a position of leadership.
If the one will indulge me further... Were yours among the Four Moons of Praxis? }}>: D

Greetings Kesvirit!
Recieved your message and I hope I have corrected the issue.
The "House Trekkan" website will be resurrected and hopefully revamped. My lack of participation in Klingon fandom was mainly due to health issues which are improving drastically. Ever though I am an Admrial of KAG, my activity within this group is only in an advisior capacity. I am getting too old for politics and want to enjoy my exsistence as a Klingon.
The "Klingon Homeworld" concept was a good one, especially those with a more non-militaristic view of Klingon culture. I may consider redoing this but my concentration right now is re-establishing "House Trekkan" back up in the glory it once knew. It is true that the concepts of being Klingon are dying of sort but with the new Star Trek movie and new timeline it created, the re-emergence of Klingons is very strong which will give Klingon fandom the boost needed to yet again be noticed by the mundanes.
Once you have been inspired with a Klingon heart, you never truely give it up and if the new Star Trek gives that shot in the arm needed, then Klingons will once again be glorious!
Not sure I understand the "Four Moons of Praxis" reference? LOL!

I had initially dismissed this tail as barroomm braggadocio born of ego and booze. Then I found this likely first-hand account in

The Four Moons of Praxis
It was one of those KAG events you'd be glad you didn't know about!
After checking out the campsite for Praxis, a small group of Klingons decided that (because it was such a nice day) they'd all go for a swim. So after a short drive and a long walk, they reached the falls. Four of the warriors braved the freezing waters - however, screams and shouts of "Shrinkage!!" echoed from rock to rock. It may have been the influence of the cold water, but the four wet Klingons soon found out that it was much more fun swimming in the buff. Yep that's right, four naked Klingons swimming in freezing waters. After a display of two of the swimmers' "assets" (and for a full description of that, you'll have to ask one of the onlookers!), the two dry ones were treated to a rare and spectacular sight - the four moons of Praxis. Use your imagination! Those involved in this little incident shall remain nameless - though I'm sure you'll hear about it at the next KAG party!
Source shall remain nameless!
Klingons prefer their weather hot and humid; it takes a brave individual indeed to go for an all-assets-exposed dip in waterfalls fed by snow run-off. As a youth it was a personal favorite rite of spring, and while my friends thought me insane to dive and splash about while ice needles scratched my skin, it earned me a certain amount of respect (and once, when I overestimated my strength, a case of hypothermia that threatened frostbite.)
I ask if you were in possession of any of the moons as you are prominently featured elsewhere in the same edition. Were mine among those brave asstral bodies, I would tell the story with pride at every opportunity. (Nothing goes together like booze and bragging, and how Klingons tend to see both as prime entertainment.)
I too mourn the demise of the "Klingon HomeWorld". NOT all Klinfolk are warriors, or tailors able to put hundreds of hours and units of the local currency into making a costume (let alone a quality head), or wealthy enough to buy one pre-made, and travel to cons in distant locales. Unfortunately, this has become the primary expected means of participation in Klindom.
I feel a rant coming on, and in the interests of diplomacy will now conclude this post by again welcoming you to the Forums. I hope that you find some resources here to aid you in your goals.

I am afraid I was not part of this "Eskimo party", the only thing that I have done that could be considered the "Moons of Praxis" was mooning half of the KAG assembly at a HopeCon just to prove that Admirals have fun too! LOL!

I am not saying that the "Klingon HomeWorld" idea is dead, but I am stating that my participation in an organization in a leader capacity has past for this warrior. I have no problem offering ideas, providing some guidance but running an organization or group again is not what I am looking to do. I am very proud to be a Klingon and enjoy the fact that I am one has helped shape some of Klingon fandom over the years. I know others who might consider the project and see if we can find someone to take on the task.

Bear, you old Targ! Your fellow warriors in the Kansas City Squadron have missed Chris and yourself. We have heard of your heath concerns and want you know know that you have been in our thoughts and prayers and wish you continued health and well-being. We bowled against the Stargazer last weekend and spent time afterwards reminiscing about some of the parries thrown at your complex and at Mike and Beth's. Those were good times. Maybe someday we can all get together and do it again. Give the family our best, look forward to your contributions.

Welcome Bear,
Having been involved in a non-military Klingon club I can honestly say that the homeworld idea, while one I would enjoy and support, is likely dead in the water. I think there are two reasons for this, and at the risk of hijacking your thread I will expound on them. First is that sci-fi fandom is now so diversified, that even if one were to concentrate on Trek, to further concentrate on Klingons to the extent required of such a club is likely not going to happen with the newer generation of fans. Second, to portray anything other than a warrior requires role playing which is almost non-existent in modern fandom. Far too often, today's Klingon is little more than Starfleet in ridges (as my wife used to say), there is no real interest in the culture and society of Klingons. What little there is seems to be all about individual counter cultures that serve only to weaken the empire.
Oh and I guess I ranted where others did not, so be it. Back to the good stuff now.
