I saw someone on the thlIngan Hol only forums and they said they were trying to speak thlIngan Hol. They made some errors in their sentences and someone else corrected their mistakes. I tried to tell them "good try". I said, "majQa'nID". Is that right?

Sorry, no.

majQa' Well done! is a complete utterance. It doesn't work to modify another word in the manner of an adjective.
nID try is a verb. You treated it as a noun.

Perhaps the sentiment could be expressed as batlh bInIDpu' You have tried honorably.
