After accomplishing a short film of Hamlet's soliloquy (taH pagh taHbe') that I just posted on youtube May 8th, I just had the idea of translating Shakespeare's Macbeth, or rather, one of Macker's soliloquy's and the Mac and Lady Mac scene where they have killed the king. In the near future, I hope to post my translation here and I woould greatly appreciate proof-reading and correction. I do wish KLI would translate Macbeth someday. IMO, it is the most perfect choice for translation. First, it is Shakespeare's shortest drama (clocking in around 2 hours and second only to The Comedy of Errors). Second, it deals with a world at war, ie. the play starts of with a civil war/revolt quelled and ends with another, which is a predicament not unfamiliar to the most recently seen Klingon history. Third and most importantly, it centers around a Klingon general and lord who possess all the best of Klingon virtues, and whose story serves as a cautionary tale when ambition takes hold, destroying any and all honor. Also, the play has a boat load of fights, which could be incredibly realized with bat'leths! For any interested, here's my Klingon Hamlet performance:
