I am Qhi, Son of Chang. it has been a long time since I walked halls with Klingons. I have long been a fan of Klingons. I reciently found myself able to enjoy the 4 and 5th Seasons of DS9 which has rekindled my interest. I alwasys attracted to forums of course so find that the KIDC had one I had to join. I have in the past been a memeber of IKDC and I remember my time fondly if slightly foggy. I am glad to reexplore something of my youth. I hope that I will be able to contriute here.

[Edit: I like that tank Honourable Kesvirit for bringing it to my attention that I transposed K and I in this posting creating confusion. I sorry to all affected.]

Welcome to KIF (the Klingon Imperial Forums), Qhi!

Klindom is sometimes known as the alphabet fandom, with many groups referred to by shorthand acronyms. I have been with these Forums since their inception and am not familiar with the IKDC. Google had been of no help, but contrary to public opinion it does NOT know all.

If you will tell us what those letters stand for and something about the organization, I will add them to the FYI (For Your Information) -- Frequently Used Terms post so that others who don’t already will know of it and give it the regard it is due.

I welcome you to the Klingon Imperial Forums, Qhi.   I do hope you are not the son of the General Chang seen in Star Trek VI...  I would hope you would never wish to be the first of three generations to bear the dishonor of a warrior who would not face his enemies, but instead attack and hide behind a cloak at the same time.  Claiming the false honor of canon character parents is bad enough, but claiming dishonor from a canon character... Both are dangerous gambits, so take care to watch your back.

Regardless of if you are son of that Chang or not, it is best to start with a fresh daqtagh and blaze your own path.   And what better way to show us your Klingon heart than speaking boldly on any topic of Klingon interest?   Here, take this this tankard of Warnagh and drink with me.
Ah, the Dominion War!   That was a glorious time for Klingons.  An enemy that controlled most of a quadrant, an enemy who could be hiding anywhere, what more worthy adversary could a Klingon hope for?   Tell me, do you think the war made us weaker, or stronger?

Also, if you are having any technical difficulties in accessing the forums, or with the forums themselves, it is my duty to see to their resolution.  But as the female of the species usually more deadlier than the male, it is Kesvirit and Lady K'zin who truly keep the forums running.

Be careful with the backhanded compliments, Klythe. The KBA do not take kindly to slights against their mistress, and have quite a bit of latitude in carrying out their duties.

Besides, you know it doesn't due to anger Fluffy.

I would imagine that the the chances are that the fact that the small sampling of Klingon names have been unique are no more than happen stance much like the fact that most of the federation officer have unique first and last names I can recall very few being used more than one [Paul and Tom are the ones that spring to mind] Some names in the empire I would suspect are come other are not so.  I not related to General Chang I far too young for that. Chang's most noteable post was Ambassator to the Fedeartion under Chancellor Q'mpec [K'mpec]. As to his name, who would questions a father's right to name his son?

[Clearly there is lots of wiggle room here, General Chang may not be know to the Klingon General Public as being a member of the conspiracy. indeed it be my opinion that the Empire would like to quiet its involement in the conspiracy. Like much of what happens between TOS and TNG/DS9/VOY time line it very unclear what happens save a few key events.]
