Sorry, I'm dropping my normal in character posting style because when it comes to actual food, you have to actually eat it.  No amount of roleplay will save you if you think the meal in question is soo good you wish to share it again with the world immediately after injesting it.

I saw this recipe posted in a somewhat random thread on another forum that started off with an incomprehensible reference to Scotty and the drink forever known as "... It's ...  It's... It's Green!".   And thought it might be slightly more palatable for those less culinarily adventerous than would be required for most of the recipies here.  I could be wrong though.  Still very squiddy.  There is no picture so I'm not sure how alien the presentation would be...

Ah!  I found a similar recipe for Baklava-stuffed baby squid with stifado sauce and that has a picture!  So... um go for it...  You first.  Let me know if you have some and it's good...   I might try a little if you make it...   The recipies are for 4 and 6 servings respectively...  I wonder what the conversion from a full serving for someone who has not problems eating this kind of food to those of us with a bit more squeemish tastes.

If I could cook, I would definitely try the first one...
Combining fish with pork sounds horrible, but I am blessed with an "asbestos" stomach 8-)

What's the Trek inspiration for this squid dish? I can't find any references to "qaraDa" or "karada" as a Star Trek foodstuff in my notes or  by using Google.

...an incomprehensible reference to Scotty and the drink forever known as "... It's ...  It's... It's Green!".

Forever isn't as long as it used to be. The drink is identified as Aldebaran Whiskey.

K'Tesh may have made it up to fill his Klingon food page.  But he cites "Genesis" [TNG], "The Sound of Her Voice" [DS9].   Hmmm, you are right he says the dishes weren't specifically called karada legs...  I don't have either episode at the paw so it will take some time to verify.

As far as washing it down with a shot of "It's Green", it may be properly identified as "Aldebaran Whiskey", but only snivvling whine snob like Pickhard calls it that.  I myself pointed out it's proper Identification in that thread, along with my opinion of Pickhard's prestenation of this knowledge.   However it is properly identified, is still known much more commonly as "It's Green", go ahead and ask around, far more people will understand and know what you are talking about.
