Hey "please",

Your English is fine.

What would you think you could say to a Klingon woman to make her your wife? Let's start from there...

You may want to try one of these (the first two may sound rude, but they're a lot more Klingon than begging like a human):

HInay! Marry me!

be'nalwIj soH! You will be my wife!

chonay’a’? Will you marry me?

Best of luck!

SoplaHtaHwI’ gets to the heart of the matter when asking,  “What would you think you could say to a Klingon woman to make her your wife? Let's start from there...”

Of Kaga’s suggestions above, I advise you to to avoid the second. A woman who meekly obeys commands, especially in matters as important as marriage, is not worth having. She might easily be used by others to act against you.

The one who says “chonay’a’? Will you marry me?” is not begging at all. The speaker is asking a direct question that allows for the possibility of an open-ended answer. The object of your affections may give you an immediate yes-or-no answer, but is more likely to want to take the time to give your question the consideration it deserves. Consortship is not a relationship between two people, but of their families as well. There is much at stake and a multitude of issues to consider. It is not a matter to be taken lightly or rushed into by the principals.

“HInay! Marry me!” is tricky. It may come across as the begging you wish to avoid. You want to sound sincere but not desperate, bold but not domineering, confident but not arrogant. It is all in the delivery and involves a delicate balancing act. Check the room for listening devices and spend some time practicing in front of a mirror.

Thanx to all of you.

You're advise are real clear. I think I'll choose "chonay’a’? Will you marry me?" 'cause it looks more... honest...

Thanx again for having take the time to answer and explain. Wish me good luck !! thanx.
