I only when through twice...   The first time I was very inebriated, the
second I was attempting to reverse engineer the system, find out how they
did it...   It's a good thing I didn't go through a third time, I realised
I had a photon light on my keychain....  I would have ruined the
transporter effect for the entire group, if I didn't also succeed in
getting by backside thrown out of there.

Did you also get a chance to dine at Quark's bar and grill?     You
have not had fun until you are downing a warp core breach and with a mixed
party talking to one of the Klingon actors...  I was on his side against a
couple of feddies!  }}:-D

yes, my wife and I did eat 3 times at Quarks.

we had that huge pile of rings, I have photos that will be up on my site
soon.

we also had a few drinks at the bar, but due to it was a weekday, we were
all alone in the bar.

was not the transporter effect cool?!

I went about 12 times and each time I was struck by the way we were in one
room, then,,,,,,in a different room.

I kept thinking to myself, "I have got to get me one of these!"

I had klingon blood wine and ale

my wife had ,,,,something else

I saw that
Warp core breach.....how much was that thing?.....it looked huge!

oh,,,,,I almost got the glass that it came in,,,,I am still looking around
in stores here for something like it....and,  how did they do the smoke in
the drink?

well...Im off to my forge, I have a new blade that I have in-work...

The floor was the easiest thing to figure out.   The walls were
trickier...  It's amazing that they moves so quitely.  Even with the
terrible noise that is the Federation's Transporter beam.

It was huge, and I got the small one!  I was intending to share...
But those timid Feddies...  Anyway the smoking is dry ice, frozen carbon
dioxide, it sublimates at room temperature 'melting' straight into harmless
carbon dioxide gas.

I actually seem to be slightly allergic to most beers (which is why I
tend to drink hard liquor), but the Romulan Ale they had was among the lest
disgusting terran attempts at beer I've ever had.

I saw the round glass for your drink in the gift store,,,,but it was a ton of money..

by the way, you didnt get to keep the glass did you?

I asked the bartender about the Experience, and he told me that there was actually two different bridges,,,they have room for more things, but that they were never built.

he also said that the Hilton just signed a 4 or 5 year deal with Star trek people,,,,so what he was hopeing was that there would be something new built,,,

there was some gossip about a Voyager set...

I would like to see,,the engine room of voyager,,,,the bridge was not that interesting next to the Entriprise. but the engine room was way better on Voyager.

I would also like to see 7of9,,,,but that has nothing to do with star trek,,....

oh, in other Daqo'tah news,,,If you go to my 2nd website, you will see my latest creation. I did my first blade flex test.....you place a blade that you forge in a vice, then bend it to see if you can get it to bend to 90 degrees.

if you can, this proves that you know how to forge a blade that is strong, yet tough....its hard to get things right,,,But I did the test and my blade bent just like I wanted it to.....

The DaQo'tah forge is getting good! http://eastof29.tripod.com/daqotahforge2/id31.html

If anyone is intending to go to the Star Trek Experience..  It's lease of the Ls Vegas Hilton is expiring as of December and they are not planning to renew.   This means that they will need to be out of that spece by December, which probably means they will close sometime in October to give themselves time to remove everything.  So if you haven't gone,  Plan to go this summer or Early Fall if you can...

Yup it has been five years ince anyone posted to this thread.  How is that for Thread necromancy...  And when I was there you could keep the glasses if you paid enough for them, they were pretty expensive, I think the large Borg Sphere was $75 extra for the glass...  Who knows it may be cheaper now if they are trying to liquidate and move out...
