(Why didn't you just point directly to http://mysite.verizon.net/binghamjd/klin.jpg ?)

I'll do the first step and transcribe the pIqaD into Romanized text.

I hope that helps. There are serious problems with grammar and spelling. If nobody steps up with further help, I'll give a word-for-word translation of the passage.

I think the "Mattlhyu 7:8-9" is the loudest speaking line.  To save Qunchuy the effort of back translating...  It appears to be a reference to ancient Terran manuscripts.  Searching the computer banks I have found a book named Mattlhyu it is described as being religious in nature.  Chapter seven contains several paragraphs.. Paragraphs 7 through 9 are read as:

Quote
7:7  Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

7:8  For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

7:9  Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

I did not realise Terrans held doors in such reverence... But Terran Mythology has always confused me.   It does explain much if Terrans beg because their religion instructs them to, where as a Klingon would take the bread if they needed it and they were not given it.

Perhaps it is instructions for parents to teach their young children who are not old enough to use a knife...  If you hunger, here is a stone that you may use to kill your own food. Cheesy Klingon Grin

Note to moderators: being officially chastized for an imagined attitude of contempt isn't much incentive for me to continue. However, I'm chalking it up to a misunderstanding on one side or the other, and I am following through on my promise to translate the words.

38 and (?) 77 I-can-give you
to-seek leftovers in-below
they-are-being (?) word-phaser/word-folk (?) read-it!

ask-it! and it you-certainly-receive-it
seek-it! and it you-certainly-notice-it
hail-it! and it you-certainly-be-open-it (?)
forty two seven-hundred
sixty eight

it certainly-receive asker become each
and it certainly-notice seeker become he/she
and it certainly-be-open hailer become he/she
forty eight six-hundred thirty
zero
         mattlhyu (?) 7:8-9
success

Klythe was kind enough to point out what I failed to notice: this comes from the book of Matthew in the Christian Bible. With that information, I can see through the consistent grammatical issues and provide what I think is the intended meaning of the first paragraph.

I can give 38 and 77 to you.
To find them, read the extra words in the passages below.

Solving the rest of the puzzle should probably be left as an exercise for those actually playing the game.

Note to Qunchuy: Thank you for following up on your promise. I urge you to re-read the PMs I’ve sent you and take them to heart.

Everyone, please don’t post off-topic personal issues to the open boards. Doing so tends to derail threads. Instead, post them to Forum Feedback or send them to me personally.

Thanks
