The crew of the IKV Bayou Serpent went to BabelCon, in Baton Rouge, LA on August 4.  The night before, we went to the airport to meet one of the guests of honor...Robert O'Reilly.  (If you are a paklid, that is Gowron)

We went to the airport, in full Klingon uniform, 4 of us. We held a sign that said, Gowron in Klingon letters. Needless to say that he was totally floored by that.  One of the guys that put the con on was in touch w/ O'Reilly and kept telling him,"don't worry, we'll have somebody w/ a sign for you".  O'Reilly told us that he had never been greated at the airport by fans dressed in Klingon.

Plus the next day we got to hang w/ the Chancellor too.  Along with Bob May(robot from tv Lost In Space) and Lea Meriwether(Catwoman).

Yes...we had fun.

I would never have figured that a lil ol' ship from Louisiana would be the first as well.  I would have bet latnium that it had been done before.

However, if anybod else does it...ya just coping us!!!
