I'm trying to translate the opening narration from Star Trek into Klingon.

Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise.
Its five-year (or "continuing") mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilazations, to boldly go where no man (or "no one") has gone before.

So far, I have this:

logh 'oH HeH Qav'e'.
DaH 'entepray' Duj lengmey lutalu'.
Qu'Daj taHbogh: Hujbogh chu'bogh je qo' chovmeH, yIn chu', tayqeqmey chu' je SammeH, 'ej pe'vIl Daqmey'e' Suchpu'bogh pagh ghoSmeH.

I'll take either version.

I borrowed this translation from ter'eS's Klingon movies and tried to adapt it. (qatlho' ter'eS!)

Thanks for the compliment, but I realized years after that film was finished that it has an error

ta 'record' is only a noun, so I misused it.  The correct use would be something like DaH 'entepray' Duj lengmey ta gherlu', literally "Now the record of the travels of the ship Enterprise is compiled."

DaH 'now'
Duj 'ship'
lengmey 'travels'
gherlu' '(it) is compiled'.

What about DaH 'entepray' Duj lengmey luqonlu'. "Now travels of the ship Enterprise are recorded."

Just personal taste.  To me, qon 'record; compose music' implies a transcript of a proceeding, like "we record the court's deliberations".  ta gher makes me think of gathering and compiling a set of ship's logs.  Since we always heard Kirk's log entries in the original series, I always felt that the TV show was supposed to be such a compilation.  but it's up to you.

BTW, if I were re-doing the whole thing, I'd probably change DaH 'now' to naDev 'here', also.

So:

logh 'oH HeH Qav'e'.
naDev 'entepray' Duj lengmey ta gherlu'.
Qu'Daj taHbogh: Hujbogh chu'bogh je qo' chovmeH, yIn chu', tayqeqmey chu' je SammeH, 'ej pe'vIl Daqmey'e' Suchpu'bogh pagh ghoSmeH.

Now, what about "five-year mission?"
