[Split off from the Signatures thread.]

Greetings All!  I just joined, and have been reading some of the posts, and wanted to at least make my first one.  I noticed the same thing that was posted above regarding the signatures, and will wait until I have earned enough rank here to include mine.  As such I will manually put one in when I post here until one can be placed permanantly in the profile.  I am Cmdr. K'oron sutai-Trekkan, the Force Recon Commander for the Klingon Assault Group.  I saw your forum, and liked what I saw, and didn't reallize it was not a KAG associated site until I joined.  No matter, we are Klingons regardless of what organization we are part of.  I like the forum, and will be looking in from time to time to see what is going on.

Greetings, Koron, and welcome to the Forums! I am glad that you have decloaked to post.

True, this is not a KAG site. It surprises me that so many people think it is, for KAG is hardly the only option for those seeking Klingon opportunities. (See the list of Klingon organizations on the FYI sheet for a sampling.) Though I do not know the specifics, the KIDC, the group that sponsors these Forums, split amicably from KAG Kanada back in the early ‘90’s. In this spirit the Forums are intended as a neutral meeting place for all Klinfolk regardless of club or affiliation to exchange ideas and information.

Let me know if you would like the title of your intro thread changed, and how you would like it to read.

Why on (insert planet of choice here) would you want to change such a marvelous thread title? What better way for the one to introduce oneself than to give such well wishes?

Welcome, pull up a chair, grab a mug, and join the fray that is the KIF.

It is interesting that this site is confused with a KAG site. KAG is certainly in many respects the big dog, yet there are numerous off shoots of KAG that are prospering quite nicely on their own. In my area, KAG never took hold as it did elsewhere. I can tell you that regardless of club affiliation or lack there of, you will find much to discuss and debate around here. Welcome Brother Warrior.

The intro to the thread is just fine.  I use it in every forum as part of my signature.  I've always liked it since it was used by Worf in STNG when he accepted Picard as his cha'dich in the trial that lead to his discommondation.  It is appropriately Klingon.  I am glad that this forum is open for all Klingon minded people.  Club affilliations are, in my oppinion, just a way to get someone involved, and it doesn't matter what the name of the club is.  We all have the same basic reason for being members, and that is to have fun.   I participated in a KIDC sponsored convention in Grand Forks North Dakota a number of years ago, so I can appreciate them as a worthy and honorable club.  They did a great batleth tourniment with safe weapons.  It was intense.  Meeting the actor that played Morn in DS9 made the convention worth even more.
