Okay, Now listen up, there is a convention in Southern California  From September 7th thru the 9th at the USCN campus Cal State, Northridge, CA. the Convention is called Mikomicon, and it is a Anime/Scifi Convention that wants Klingons to be there, Yes you read right, They want Klingons there, I have spoken to the co-chairman Goldie Thomas about this, She says that every Klingon arriving to the convention will get " Guest of Honor " status, that means that you do not have to pay any Admission!

You may be asked if you could do a panel on some topic having to do with Klingons, but it is up to you.
There is a Hotel, or Motel that is being used for the convention, contact Goldie to find out more, I will be there, most likely Saturday and Sunday, (Just look for a Fat, Grey haired Klingon and you will have found me) Wink

Here is the Convention's website: http://mikomicon.com/Contact Goldie for particulars and tell her that I sent you.

Too far for me I'm afraid, but is it ok for me to repost this on my own forum?  A couple of my friends are from that part of the world and might be interested.

I don't 'dress up' but  Cry, right month, wrong dates.  I'm going to California in late-September and I tried to find out if there were any ST conventions and found 1 in Sacramento but it was too expensive and a 5-7 hour drive.

After FedCon XVI, I am convinced: Klingons are the life of a party. As the Chancellors sing: "It's the Klingons baby, there's no Klingons" (about why a series doesn't take off...)

I can surely believe that a con would want to invite Klingons to liven it up a bit.
I think that, given a few square meters of space and free admission, we Klingons can make a con. Just like any mischievous Englishman can make a queue ;-)
