I am attempting to translate the American Pledge of Allegiance into Klingon. Here's what I have:

'amerIqa' joqwI' vImatlh 'e' vIlay' 'ej 'oSbogh Sep vImatlh 'e' vIlay'.
I promise to be loyal to the flag of America and I promise to be loyal to the country which it represents.
wa' Sep, wavqangbe'bogh, HochvaD tlhab je ruv ghajbogh.
One country, which is unwilling to divide, which has freedom and justice for all.

Original:
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands.
One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

I need the grammar, etc. checked. It would also be nice if someone could enlighten me on "under God," (I know Klingons have none.) but not 100% necessary.

Please review the Forums’ Rules and Regs post. Regarding translations, it says:

"* If your post includes words in tlhIngan Hol, please provide an English translation somewhere within the post unless you are posting in the "Conversation in tlhIngan Hol only" section.  Either line by line or in footnote form is fine for the translations; if you can get creative without getting confusing, so much the better. Posts lacking translations may be deleted."

In this case you would probably do best to edit your post so that the translation is shown line by line. As not all posters on these boards live in the US, you may get more help if you post the entire text you want translated.

“Under God” is going to be difficult. I suggest you read through this thread to see how others have approached it in the past.

Gaffers make appreciative and supportive remarks in the form of bad imitations of primate calls from the direction of the lighting grids.

See http://www.kli.org/tlhIngan-Hol/2002/July/msg00099.html for a discussion of the Pledge some five years ago.

It would also be nice if someone could enlighten me on "under God,"

Try wa' Sep'e' bejbogh Qun one region which a supernatural being watches.
