Last Friday, I was informed that my wife is with child.  So on or around Nov. 4 2007 I shall have a bouncing baby Klingon to call my own.

Needless to say I'm stoked, freaked too, but stoked!!!

qaHoy'bej "I definitely congratulate you."

Kids are a blast; I've got 3, 2 boys and a girl, and I've enjoyed every age.  Don't worry about not feeling ready; nobody is ready!  Fortunately, they start out small, so you can learn on the job.

BTW, if you can get your wife to hold off until Nov. 7, the new baby can share my birthday!

On Thursday, November 8, 2007, my wife gave birth to an 8lb 2oz. baby boy.

In typical Klingon fashion, we named him...Kahless Shane-Lee Carnahan.

So far, wife and son are doing well....me, I'm freaked.

K'Allen, parmaqqay puq je', SaHoy'!

I've had the pleasure of meeting puqbe'Daj HoDwI' and the bouts of crying notwithstanding, seeing this new life was wonderous and humbling. I wish you all the best in the world, and may he grow up to be a warrior we all can be proud of.

SaHoy' = I congratulate you (plural)
parmaqqay = signoth = significant other
puq = child
puqbe'[Daj] = [her ]daughter
HoDwI' = my captain
