nuqneh says the lietenant that means what do you want to the captain "you do not speak to me that way"says captain qapla100000 *stabs with kut'lutch pulls out quickly* thats that now don't talk to me that again crewman understand captain qapla100000 says yes sir says the crewman and hobbles away with no honor

If you  make an enemy of your officers and they hobble away after stabbing them, that is your mistake.  They will return, and one day they will stab first.

I deleted some of your redundant posts.   Double posting (posting two short posts immediately after one another) is against forum policies.  Octuple posting is even worse.

Also, we ask that you use the best grammar and punctuation you can so that it is easier for people to read what you are trying to say.   At the very least, begin each sentence with a capital letter and end each sentence with a period.

If you are going to run a forum or email based game, you really do need to sort out your writing skills.  Its not difficult to do and just spacing out your text a bit more so its clear exactly who is saying what, would help alot.  If you want a good example then go and have a look at my story "Dominion" in the story section here.  Just read the first couple of paragraphs and it will illustrate what I mean.

I'm also going to comment that bombarding people with multiple pms and multiple messages here is not going to earn you any friends.  We can read and we are not stupid, you only need to tell us once.  For myself, I am too busy with my own forum and website, which you are welcome to have a look at if you wish.

I am not being unfriendly but Klingons are a pretty direct bunch and I  say what I think.  Any captain who wishes to discipline me for that is welcome to try, but be warned, I do not let my enemies escape with their lives....

Also asking "What is wanted?"  *is* being polite.  It may be as polite as Klingons get.   A subordinate asking your wishes is acknowledging that your will is of interest, implying that the subordinate will act to their capabilities to achieve your wishes to earn honor and glory for your ship, yourself as themself.   Stabbing an officer for asking your wants and wishes, discourages other officers from asking.   Soon your crew will only act on direct commands.  When you aren't present to give an order, and no captain can be everywhere, what happens?

My time for roleplaying is limited and largely full.   I Administrate this board as well as a running  Trekfur.org .another StarTrek Roleplaying site in an alternate universe where all "humanoid" species are instead Anthropomorphic Animals. Like Gorn, Caitians, Tellariates, Selay, Anticans, etc, are people with traiits of Lizards, Lions, Pigs, Snakes and Canines.  So instead of  bumpy headed people as Klingons, we have Klingon Targ people, Sargh Horse people, Grishnar Cat people, etc.    The group primarily roleplays in Second Life, a realtime virtual 3D Environment that allows people to build nearly anything they can imagine.

Somewhere in the beta quadrant.
The k.s.s. pa'gh is at the connection point. Where they can make a connection to the empires far away computers. Right now they are in the edge of the delta
quadrant just waiting for the signal to reach them. Then a ship with a woman Starfleet captain sends a distress call. Captain qapla100000 thinks it over.
Alright warriors lets get ready to go to warp 9.95. The ship slowly goes to warp. When they arrive there were three different Borg vessels attacking the
u.s.s. voyager. They immediately go into action first 10 torpedoes in the first Borg ship. 20 in the second and 30 in the third. The u.s.s. voyager sends a
message to the k.s.s. pa'gh. K.s.s. pa'gh we give you greetings from the u.s.s. voyager is the alpha quadrant not far from here. No it is not you may follow
us voyager please stay at matching speed and course. "We will" says captain Janeway. Then the voyager and the pa'gh go back to the alpha quadrant.

qapla100000,

I told you this privately in email two days ago; now I am telling you in public so that others may see your shame. Normally we do not host RPGs on our Forums. Any PRGs to be played out here must be cleared in advance with Forum staff (Lady K’Zin, Klythe, or myself.) You have neither sought nor been granted permission to do so. As you have your own site, *you* should be hosting your RPG and playing it out *there*.

Klythe dismantled your ten-post solo RPG thread, and I am putting a stop to this one.  Do not try my patience further.

Thank you Kesvirit.

Qapla, I have already offered to help you with your writing, and believe me, you do need help.  Firstly though a few points.

KSS Pagh?  What is KSS?  I personally have never seen that used before, only IKS or IKV.

Secondly, your character's name, are you crew supposed to shout "Captain Qapla one hundred thousand" every time they speak to you?

You need to review the rules of punctuation, it's there for a reason! you use commas whee you should have full stops and full stops where there should be commas.  Apostrophes and speech marks are likewise there for a reason.

Keep your writing in one tense, you move from present tense to past and back to present again and that does not work.  Be consistent

Also, if you are going to run a game,  then you need to spin the story out - an entire battle with not just one but three Borg cubes and it's over in one sentence - where was the opportunity for your crew to join in?  Its up to you as the game master to give them those opportunities overwise its not a rpg game but just an outlet for you to show off.

And in just one more sentence you have completely negated the entire 7 years of "Voyager"  (Well, actually, that may not be a bad thing....)

Grrrrrr... qapla10000, check your email regarding the above post!

I have looked at your new site. You are off to a very poor start. Your post of Jun 26, 8:02 pm, “Please Reply or Else!!!!!!”, reads in its entirity:

First of all View this im getting very mad because none of you have

i only post when called upon But God Dangit im very angry PLEASE POST
we have only had 5 web views 5!!!!!!! its because you have not posted
u will have to atleast post in this string withing 1 month(s) or else

Signed A Very Mad

Group Owner
It dismays me to actually have to point out that you cannot threaten people into joining or posting to your group. The ruder you get, the more people are going to want to stay away from you. This post looks like it was written by a petulant eight-year-old. To draw and keep prospective posters, you need to be able to offer them something positive that they can’t easily find elsewhere.

You also really need to work on your writing skills. Good communications skills are necessary if you want to be a successful group owner. Spell-flamers are the lowest of the low, and I know that writing can be difficult. But making a sincere effort to learn the basics such as sentence construction and punctuation will pay off in many different aspect of your life.

This may not seem fair, but it is a matter of credibility. People are unlikely to take you seriously if you flagrantly disregard the rules written English. Improving your writing will show people that you care what they think of you, and they are more likely to want to respond to you. It is especially important on the net because it is the only part of you that people get to see. It is all a matter of how you present yourself to others.

As a group Owner i know how hard it is to get a group together and active.   I have a group of about 100 Furries in a game called Second Life for Star Trek roleplaying, and only 25 of them registered on the forums and most  of those haven't posted ever.   There are a lot of RPGs out there at a lot of different levels.  Far more than people have time to play.   You have to give them a reason to play in yours.   Something interesting and unique, and even that isn't always enough since with our userbase here we had two roleplaying games, one never started and the other one ran shortly then ran out of steam.

I know one thing, as a group owner, "posting only when called upon" and expecting more than of your users is not going to work.  Notice how many posts Kesvirit and I have, we are two of the top four posters, and it's somewhat unusually low.   From experience Forum and Group ownwers of new groups usually have 2-3 times the post of their users.   Just because they have to set up the forum rules, explain what they all are, and what sort of things can and can't be posted in each forum, then constantly reminding users if the rules.  Without rules it's even worse for forum users.  They can't find where anything is, and have to ask what they should and shouldn't be doing.

Especially for an RPG, it takes a lot of forethought to figure out where you want the story to go and how you are going to get them there.  Random aimless roleplaying is quickly tiresome for most roleplayers.

In other words you made it up.  the correct abbreviation is IKS or IKC, standing for Imperial Klingon Starship/Cruiser (I think).

I could imagine KSS working as a civilian ship tag buit certainly not for a military ship./

In The Beginning, there was IKV for Imperial Klingon Vessel. It is still in widespread use, and is the most common designation I have come across.

MLAs (Multi Letter Abbreviations) strike me as a very Federation thing to do, it is the way the Federation refers to ships, not the way Klingons refer to ships when talking to other Klingons.   I can imagine Klingons using them when dealing with the Federation when they wish to be diplomatic and helpful.   But for me Klingons would either specify the fleet to which their ship belongs (if it does belong to a fleet), or not depending on how wide spread the reputation of thier ship and  the ship class if it would make it obvious.  House fleets and Privateers would be very unlikely to have a Neghvar battleship, unless they were an incredibly powerful House under very unique circumstances.   The main Klingon fleet (be it the Imperial Navy in TOS, the Klingon Defense Force in TNG or the Klingon Deep Space Fleet in SFB or SFC) would be unlikely to have older obselete ships when new ships have been available to replace the old model for a century, Freighters would be part of a Merchant fleet, etc.

Klingons don't anthropomorphize inanimate objects like ships nearly as much as Hyoomins do, so they would tend to introduce their ships not on their own right, but as part of their title as a ship captain.

So we'd have:

An unknown Privateer:  Aspera of the ghojwI'  (no fleet or code given, perhaps not even a military rank)
A TOS Legend in the Imperial Navy:  Captain Kor of the Klothos   (You would have already heard of him and know he's a Navy man.)
A young Imperial Navy Captain:  I am Commander Klythe of the Imperial Naval ship Hythloth.

I think this fits very well, since most Klingon captains we see are the higher profile to legendary kinds.

I seem to remember reading somewhere - and I wish I could remember where - that Klingon ships are referred to as male.  for all that, in my own writing I use "it" rather than he or she for a ship when referring to Klingon ships.

As for introductions, there is of course that wonderful line from one of my favourite books of all time...

"I am Koth, Koth of the Vengeance- and this ship is my prize"

If you still wish to play, have you considered joining one of the games listed in this subforum? There are always games looking for players, though of those listed here I do not know which, if any, are still active. But you could visit the visit the websites or contact the representatives of those that interest you to see which are still around and accepting new members.
