 Cheesy Thumbs up!

I wanted to be able to learn a bit more on how to handle a betleH since I have no instructor near me to guide and teach me.  I searched databanks and found the forbidden book of "Secret Fighting Arts of The Warrior Race Volume 1- betleH yIqel".  This guide not only gives written instructions, it has pictures and diagrams of how your feet should be placed for each move.  I have already learned alot from this book. You will also learn hand and body movements in the first chapter that will help you gain better control of your weapon before you even pick it up. Of course, a book can not take the place of a fellow warrior or instructor.  But when you are in a sector alone, it's a good start.

the picture above is the author of the book named HetaQ.
It still can be purcharsed at the most reasonable cost at www.wle.com.

I didn't know that any copies of this remained!  I got a copy during that brief window after it was printed and before Paramount got wind of it.  It is one of my most prized possessions.

It really is a fun book.  It covers only the betleH; other volumes were going to cover other weapons, but they never got published.  I don't know what HetaQ is up to these days; maybe another volume will secretly appear someday.

The betleH practice can be worked into a brief routine that you could use for demonstrations.  I've studied tai chi for years, and every so often I start on working up a betleH routine to go along with the standard tai chi form.  The betleH forms are based on real shaolin weapon forms, and fit real well into any sort of Eastern martial training.

I found this book for about $33. Would you recommend that I buy it, ter'eS?

Wow, yes! I thought these were all destroyed (although I have one  Wink ) . HetaQ was a noted member of the KLI and a true martial arts expert, and his betleH moves are the real deal.  Since he didn't get Paramount's prior permission to use the Klingon name and language, they made him stop selling them and destroy the rest.  I think they originally cost around $15, so $33 is not at all out of line for such a rarity.

Okay, then I Will definitely shell out the cash for it (unless someone beats me to it). I have seen it for around $88 to $155, so perhaps I have lucked out. Perhaps he should make more on the downlow. I'd like instructions on my Daqtagh and qutluch usage and other moQbara'.
