I'd like to identify this symbol

I believe this sysmbol is that of a Klingon house. Can anyone identify it?

The symbol was found on the sheath of a daqtagh blade. My second question, (and probably the easiest)
how would I pronounce Daqtagh ?
Thank you!

That which does not kill me, must have missed me.

That it was found on a Daqtagh sheath indeed makes it likely that this a house crest of some sort. I do not recognize it. Can you tell us more about where and under what circumstances you found it?
The sounds of {thlIngan Hol} can be found
here
. String the relevant letters together and sound them out. A beer and a rain slicker have been known to facilitate things for the beginner.

That is one of the easier ones to identify. It was the logo used on the original Bird of Prey knife by united cutlery. It was, I believe an attempt at a stylized komerex stella. The design changed when Paraborg made the company change the blade's name to Phoenix. IF you have that blade and sheath it is somewhat collectible.

That would be correct then... The blade is etched with a "United" logo.
Thank you!

Is the blade etched? I know that logo is usually embossed on the sheath, but if someone took the time to etch the blade, then you do have a rare piece indeed.

So is anyone else seeing this as dialog from the antic road show of the distant future.
