There's obviously a missing space between nay'meylIj your dishes and yIn live, and the last word should have the prefix Da- instead of Du-. Literally, it comes out something like "May one always serve you the life of your dishes."

I'm pretty sure it's intended as "May you always be served live food." I'd say it like this:
reH yInjaj nay'lIj May your dishes always be living.

You both should realize, that not ALL klingon food is served live, but neither is human food always burnt.

Vulcans may not eat meat or animal produce but I imagine that at a pinch, when addressing a vulcan
"may your food always be live" could be altered slightly to "May your food always be fresh"  which of course could refer equally to a salad as to meat

Now, I know that Klingons value death, but I'm gonna perform a bit of necromancy here.  I've been noticing this toast all over the internets, lately, and none of them have provided an exact source.  One site claimed Marc Okrand as a source, but that sounds strange considering the questionable grammar (I suppose it could be that special toasting grammar, but it seems a bit too strange even to be that).  Does anybody know where it's from?

I like Qunchuy's version, reH yInjaj nay'meylIj, och possibly something like Hoch nay'meylIj yInjaj ("May all your dished live", using OSV toasting grammar...  ...or in this case just SV).  However, I translate reH nay'meylIj yIn Dajablu'jaj as "May the life of your dishes always serve you."; I think you need a SoHvaD in there somewhere:  reH SoHvaD yInbogh nay'mey lujablu'jaj ("Always for-you which-live dishes may-one-serve-them"), for instance.

It occurs to me on rereading this, that a good insult for Terrans, bearing in mind their use of replicators, might be "May you always nibble on burned replicated goo"

I am glad to see that someone else has finally said it: NOT ALL KLINGON FOOD IS EATEN ALIVE OR RAW. We have even seen Worf & Toq proclaim that they were about to cook their recently killed prey. So personally based on this fact, I would take the quote in question and throw it in the garbage, never to be said again. However, I realize that most of Klindom would be perfectly happy to translate IDIC into tlhIngan Hol (our glorious mother tongue), so quotes like this will persist and many will assume it to be that elusive mythical beast though to be a Klingon pleasantry.

Only specialized scholars would have use for such a thing.  Unless you count those seeking to incorporate it into an insult against the Vulcans, and possibly by extension their Federation masters.

While most Klingons would be ashamed to use the word “peace” without a sneer and/or an expectoration, it, too, could conceivably have a place in the arsenal of the masters’ level practitioner of curse warfare. Aside from that, its use would be limited to the young, the foolish, and the desperate. (And those of us who have earned special dispensation through study of its uses at the School of Diplomatic Arts. Many of us are... ambivalent about its place in the curriculum.)
